The other thing people have to keep in mind is the complete debauchery of the author's presented key and ciphers, this leaving all of those potential errors and alleged mistakes up in the air as to what is an actual error and/or mistake, this leaving all of those decisions solely up to individual discretion and judgment. So the likelihood that someone is going to capture an accurate solve for either of the remaining ciphers without clear correction, which doesn't exist, is extremely poor, at best, if not all together impossible.
So what we are left with is zero provenance, zero direct connection, and zero chance of ever accurately sorting out the narration's cipher/key debauchery. These are the existing realities concerning a possible accurate solution to the existing Beale narration mystery. Those who believe they have accurately solved the mystery are most likely just fooling themselves, and in fact, virtually all of these claims having already been clearly and conclusively debunked. Why all of these established train wrecks are still being pursed on the same track of thought is anyone's guess?
Science and history have established that the adventure portion of the narration couldn't have possibly taken place just as described, the writer of the presented letters clearly lacking accurate understanding of the hard rock mining process for the region in question during the period in question. So without doubt we know that this portion of the narration is false and manufactured and that if said wealth did ever exist then it had to have come from a different source. This is no longer in question, science and recorded history have clearly established this conclusion for us. So where then, exactly, might this alleged wealth have originated?
When we consider the narration 's details then it becomes quite clear that the transferring of such wealth would have to of been conducted by prior and planned arrangement under the veil of extreme trust and secrecy which pretty much rules out any shooting from hip type of adventure. So in essence we would be looking at some type of laundered wealth where advanced arrangement and advanced planning was in place, not to mention the presence of sufficient and experienced and capable resources as well. The blunt of this is this doesn't leave too many possibilities. And in fact, after all of the required research was concluded it only left one possible documented source during the period. (Note: This is not including the highly debated content within the Laffite memoirs but rather through other official sources of documentation. The questionable Laffite memoirs only add additional support to this same already established source.)
BUT, and here it comes, even though this scenario seems a very strong possibility, even a very convincing possibility, there is still nothing to establish a direct connection to the 1885 Beale narration. This is why so many attempt to present their cipher solutions as being that existing provenance but due to the already referenced conditions and circumstances of those presented ciphers then they can literally be crafted into translated clear text of anyone's individual desire, just as history has shown, and so instead of provenance they just become additional sources of highly suspect and extremely unreliable sources of wild speculation. What is still lacking is that smoking gun, that indisputable provenance that turns speculation and hypothesis and theory into fact. Find that, if it exist at all, and you will have discovered the truth. That is the only way any possible truth will ever be discovered. I looked everywhere for it and I never did find it.
