Hate to go to far out on a limb here, but I'm guessing u may be asking about the tools that made the point? Dwain answered the question I asked, but I must have asked the wrong question?
When it comes to knowing about artifacts I know you all will be shocked, but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Lol! Well I knew that. No help from him

Do you remember a guy from Arrowheadforums named Tony I believe. He made a LOT of Folsom points and may have made this one. I can't remember where he is from--maybe California.

Maybe it's an earlier piece, but his are normally uber-thin and exceptionally well made out of high quality material.

There is a forum called paleoplanet where a lot of knappers hang out, you could try to ask there. (But people might not be quick to identify it since occasionally these questions come from people who paid full retail price for a relic.)

He has gotten good. Good enough to fool folks. I hope he is signing them.

Very different from the one in this thread

This is just my take on this item. Finding the knapper who made this is like looking for a needle in a hay stack. There are 1,000's of folks that could have made it, 1st the technic is done for a fast turn over for money they didn't think this one through very well. Second there are hinges on this point but that doesn't mean it's fake, but what it does remind me of is white Novaculite that has be treated with a chemical that I wont call by name and heated to about 400 degrees. When I blow the photo up it looks like white specks in it that don't look like fossils or any other material that you see in brown chert. JMO

Would never have known about this world of knappers out there if I hadn't found the artifacts.
The link right above shows many knappers.
I'm hoping to start posting some finds in the near future.
Thanks
Rick
