Folks,

Since I'm shut down until spring......I took a group shot of some of my silver finds that I had lying
around....all dug at picked over trashy green spaces in my area....still finds to be made just have to work them a bit harder.

nice silver fish collection you have

that's a nice pile. the book thing is interesting

jewelryguy,

The book type item I thought it was a pillbox.....when I posted it up on another site.....one of the members told me it was a postage stamp holder or safe....they were quite popular with the ladies back in the day I was told.

You found some good stuff, how did you get the chain cleaned up so pretty?

Very nice haul, probably 300-500 grams?

BosnMate,

The chain came out pretty much the way it is....found it near a soccer net about 2 inches down...since they don't use any pesticides, etc....in my area no tarnish whatsoever.....Some of the silver I find at the base of trees, with the leaves, etc....comes out quite tarnished though.

Seener,

Just for the heck of it I weighed it up and it came in at 288.5 grams.....net it would be a bit less due to the weight of the iron section of the bottle opener....if/when I get rid of some of this stuff probably scrap the broken items and try to get a bit
better than melt for the intact stuff by selling privately.

Very nice, when selling include the word "vintage" in your description. For some reason people pay more when they see that ;)

Seener,

Thanks for the heads up....I'll keep it in mind if I ever decide to sell.

So are you selling it or keeping it?

Hard work pays off!
Nice silver finds.

Produce Guy,

Other than the clad which I tumble and cash in....I've given some jewelry to my wife and a few friends...
Pretty much everything else gets tossed in some box or other.....thing is we put so much effort into finding the keepers
it's hard to let them go unless you're in a bind...lol.

Short version I'll probably keep them.
