Got this 1907 Injun....

A bus token from Birmingham...must be aluminum....didn't do too well in the dirt...

And look at these.....I searched and found a thread that Omni had started a couple of years ago and the one's he found are similar, except mine have no metal in them...ceramic maybe? There was some different guesses as to what they could be....http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,11589.0.html

Total keepers for yesterday....
The 1907 Injun...the religious pendant, five wheats, miners tags, the bus token, keys, change, 1951 dog tag, two more tax tokens, a lead seal, trigger, some jewelry..the one gold piece had me going! Looked just like I had found myself a gold, but nooo marks on the back. :P It's neat though.

I hope you all have a great weekend!! Nana :)

that marble was made by champion agate in pennsboro wv ...took over that plant from alley agate in 38 and operated until the 70s...the difference between alley and champion is that clear matrix you can see in that marble..alleys was totally opaque...these group into whats called wv swirls by collectors cause its hard to tell the difference between the other companies...the only way to tell the difference is the color of the white glass from like snow white to a creamy ivory that look alike if you see one marble but put them together you can tell the difference....the red in their marbles was made by reusing tail lights from ford by other glass factories there in pennsboro...i cant remember the factory name but ill try to find out.....the info on those mill balls is correct and the bigger ones are collected and if their marked go for $25 and up.....

Stoney and Gypsy...Thanks a bunch for that info!

RR....Come on!!! We'll take ya huntin!

Duffy....YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!! How the heck do you know all this stuff! 8) Thanks for that info! That marble is really neat..it's like you can see inside through the little openings between the colors.

Mon..Yes! I love this place! So much area to cover too. The only thing is though, the ground has been moved around so much. Some places the 'good' dirt has been buried and the clay has been moved up. I have found modern coins at 6 inches and the Indian was maybe a 1/2 inch. On last Tuesday's hunt I found a small area that hadn't been disturbed. That's where I found the two silvers and the store token.

Thanks again ya'll!!! Nana :)
