I found this interesting religious pendant..I have no idea what it says....

back....

Got this 1907 Injun....
100_0287.jpg

A bus token from Birmingham...must be aluminum....didn't do too well in the dirt...

And look at these.....I searched and found a thread that Omni had started a couple of years ago and the one's he found are similar, except mine have no metal in them...ceramic maybe? There was some different guesses as to what they could be....http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,11589.0.html

Total keepers for yesterday....
The 1907 Injun...the religious pendant, five wheats, miners tags, the bus token, keys, change, 1951 dog tag, two more tax tokens, a lead seal, trigger, some jewelry..the one gold piece had me going! Looked just like I had found myself a gold, but nooo marks on the back. :P It's neat though.

I hope you all have a great weekend!! Nana :)

Nana,
Great looking IH and religious token! What a great variety of finds.
I saw a butterfly here yesterday to, and today I froze my butt off. :'( Weird weather.

Pretty flutterby Nana! We've lots of them still flitting around here too. Storm tonight will probably make them go away though! :'( Looks like you had a fun day digging, congrats on some cools finds!

Look's like the old community is just starin' to show her find's Nana...Good stuff!!

"That's some big balls there.....litte lady". I'm sorry Nana just could'nt help myself. I think I've been hanging out with ridge runner to much...lol. Those are some cool finds....keep your coil to the soil............HH, gregd573

Love the flutterby. Guess he looked at the calendar and saw that winter doesn't start till next week. ;) Great finds too! You might check closely on the top where the chain goes through, maybe there's a faint mark. As for the balls, I know Omni's thread talked about being used in ore crushing, etc. Was wondering if they could be used to help darn holes in socks? :-\

As for the religious medal, it's a Benedictine House or Jubilee Medal.

Very nice finds coming out of that mining camp area Nana.....Hope you get to hunt it a while yet....Heres what I found about about Ceramic balls.....

Ceramic balls used in check and ball valves, bearings, and other mechanical devices that provide rotary or linear motion. They can provide higher stiffness, lower thermal expansion, lighter weight, increased corrosion resistance, and higher electrical resistance than comparable steel products.

Real nice finds and that butterfly would be buried in snow here in ohio right now.

Nana. . . you still have dirt down there that isn't covered in white stuff?

Glad to see you're still finding the good stuff!

Take care & HH!

Oh, what some super finds you have there, Nana. You keep that up, I'm gonna have to come up there and hunt with you & the other Bama girls. Congrats! Enjoy the weather while you can, cause it's going to change this weekend as it already hit us.

;) RR

Nana,

Keep up the good work. We will have to live vicariously through your finds until the weather breaks here. ;)
