Flower button, any ideas on age?

Hard to say with certainty having only a "straight-on" view of your button's back, but it appears to have a 20th-Century "self-shank" back, similar to the one in the photo below. Need a closeup look at your button's shank. I(s there a hole in the back under the shank's arch?

Here are a few images - the button still has a bit of dirt inside plus there is still the material that attached it there.

Thanks for the additional photos, which are indeed well-focused. :) They enable me to say with ceertainty, your button definitely has a 20th-Century self-shank back.

Thanks - glad you enjoyed the photos. The field was an old cabbage farm back 150 years ago, before that who knows. I pulled an 1797 cent which is my avatar from nearby so I never really know what will come out of the ground!
