Yes!

We fish for Ling Cod, salmon, Steelhead and Halibut, but venture to coos bay for my fav.... Oysters!!!!!

When I was a kid my folks shipped me off to my grandparents in Miami every summer. It was so hot I got where I hated FL. Except for the seafood! Back in the Midwest and all we can get is frozen. Count your blessings if you live near the coast and can get fresh seafood!

One word: Dixie Crossroads. When I worked at NASA (38 yrs ago!) I would go there for lunch. Broiled rock shrimp was awesome.

You every have steamed oyster poppers? Steamed oysters jalapeño peppers pepper jack cheese!!!

I do!!!!! :laughing7:

I'm not sure that folks on the East coast can really appreciate what a Dungeness is, as they've got those smaller crabs ya have to spend a week picking the meat out of to get a decent mouthful. :laughing7: (kidding, of course)

Give me a pile of fresh Dungee, a bowl of drawn butter plus a good beer to wash it all down, and I'm the happiest man there is.

What were the WORMS on the FORK for ?

It did look good though :) LOL

Never had them nor a desire to even !!1

Good post TH... but i have little to add other than I grew up here... but eat very little seafood.
Other than an occasional blackened grouper sandwich and a bowl of she crab soup... perhaps some Mahi Mahi...
And only snow, Alaskan, and king crab legs. ( and love them when i do)
maybe have that once a year if even.
I like no other crabs or fish

When i was younger (first jobs) i worked at several seafood places and still never ate much of it even when it was free.
For me it just never took i guess.

Did eat fried bass once and it was good though.

When we visit the coast I love the seafood. Back here in flyover country we mostly have freshwater (trout, bass, catfish, walleye), or frozen seafood. I did have this thing last night at a local restaurant though.
