I've had so much to do I haven't even had time to go through the latest batch.

This is from Flint Ridge, Ohio from last week.

That's a 2 gallon bucket full. These are the cores, bladelets, and a few pieces I just liked the color of.

I gave another bucket full to a friend. They had dug another pit with the dozer and it had rained very hard. IMG_0752.JPG

I planned the trip to Flint Ridge last year. We were going to go on Saturday. Well my mom and dad decided to get into an argument instead. I'm glad to see everyone had fun though.

RustyRelics, you should go. And yes, I was at the Nethers farm. I think the flint cooked fine, as it "rings" if you hit it with anything.

I cooked it because I could. I just had to try it once. I don't flint knapp. All I've been able to do is make small rocks from larger ones.

I'll get pics in the am. Off to go to sleep with the cats, the one's crying already because I'm not in my place. Guess who owns who!

Last trip I didn't get any true knock out items, but it's a lot of fun. And 380 miles from here!

Cats don't have owners, they have staff. Like the cat that lives with me. She enforces her rule with a S&W 9mm Shield.

Beg pardon the thread derail!

A lil' late now...for two years I've put it on the calender, and for two years, we were going to go...Oh well. It might just have to wait until I get my drivers license.

Cats own the internet so it's not possible to derail a thread. What coloration is that called on your cat? I have a little girl with similar markings and I call her a "Brendle" cat. Don't know why.

My favorite flake knife from this year. I have only been 4 times.

Rustyrelics, at least yours is active! My youngest one is 10. Oldest almost 17.

I believe she is a tabby. But she has lots of tan on her & minimal white. She also has some stripes that remind me of Bengal cats so maybe she has a little of that in her bloodline. She was a "partial" feral I got from the county shelter. She was maybe one-year old and I've had her for five. They clip the feral cats right ear after they are spayed/neutered so if they are released back into the wild they can tell the cat doesn't need another trip to the shelter for alteration.

My Smokeythecat, the real live one, in the avatar, I got in 2010 when my brother died. So...I've had him 9 full years. Three weeks ago the monster FINALLY LET ME PICK HIM UP. He owns me now. He just had his 12th birthday! We had canned food! At least he did...LOL.

I think Lulu is a tabby too but she is marked like a Bengal, She eats a couple of humming birds per week and every Cardinal she can catch off a feeder we have. She's also thinned out the chipmunk population here and lizards as well. What a little murdering Bi+ch!

Sorry you had to acquire him in such a difficult manner. Glad you were there to take him into your home & heart! I pray you have many more years together!

Mine loves for me to hold her while she looks out the patio door watching out for birds & cats. And she loves to attack my hand when she's had enough petting! My ankles as well when I don't give her the amount of attention she thinks she deserves! She does like having her belly rubbed. She won't let me do it when she lays in my lap. She has to lay on the floor so I have to get down there with her and I'm 61 and stiff! But I love her regardless & my life wouldn't be as interesting & joyful without her!

Mine is an indoor only cat so the bird population is safe. When she does get get out she will only go a couple of feet past the patio door and I'm always there so she goes back inside when I tell her to go. I'm too afraid to leave her outside (she probably would want back in the house ASAP if I closed the door) as I've seen too many squished kitties on the roadways.

This was our cat Skank, she was a great kitty. Finally had to put her to rest when old age caused her too many problems. We've acquired 3 since her, all Siamese. All with their own personalities too!
