Some Pakistani coins have holes in them just like these. Worth about zilch. Sorry. A better picture would help.

They are Chinese, I can't see them to tell you how old they are but Likely worth in and around $2.00 I don't think you got ripped off or do i think you got a great deal.

Ahhh a better pic, yes they are Chinese. They look to be older and not modern and thats a good thing. You can get World Coin Books at a book store and look them up. Still I don't think they are worth much more than $2.00 No way to tell unless you look them up. Some of them look newer, but could be older BU coins if your lucky. Usually what you pay for is what you get.

Keep @ it and HH!!

They could be real but ill tell ya just last weekend at the World Market Store at the Eastern Shore Center outside of Mobile Al i saw some of these for sale there. They were all remakes of different coins China had over years. There was i think 8 in the little pack that they came in. Hopefully im wrong though. :)

Buckleboy gave you a great site to reference... here is another (The sites are free and beats buying a $60.00 world coin book for $2.00 in Chinese Cash Coins) ;) : http://www.sportstune.com/Chinese/index.html
He is also right - they end up being the oldest finds for many people. That alone is kinda neat-o when you dig one!

I agree with MUD also. Most are worth a buck or two maybe and are very common no matter how old they are, but - on occasion some are very rare and worth a bit more. I'm sure the flea-market dude checked the coins before selling them, but what if?

Johnny Reb saw prepackaged coin sets, and those are prolly reproductions for ID purposes... I've seen those before too. In addition, you may find you have real tokens, or coin reproductions which is kinda cool too!

If you look through some past posts MANY folks have found and posted them here.

I still think they are kinda cool no matter what...

I've droned on long enough...

For two bucks,if you like em they're worth it, regardless how old or if they are repro's or whatever. It was only two bucks.Half the fun is researching what you have.It is for me anyway.I found one once md'ing, good conversation piece if nothing else.Just imagine some Chinese immigrant a hundred or so years ago that brought them over when he left China in search of a better life in the USA.Many Chinese helped to build the RR's in this country among other things.
