FLAT BUTTONS AND LC'S STRING AND G4E

Got out Saturday for some hunting with Goes4Ever. He picked me up and we headed off to a farm that I had permission for. I wanted to try some field hunting but wasn't sure how it would pan out. Nothing but beer cans EVERYWHERE so we headed for the yard that I had only hunted a very little bit once before hoping to come up with something. Shortly after getting into the yard I hit a 36 wheatand G4E got a neat old brass stirrup then it was quiet for a couple of hopurs. I think we were both thinking of moving on and I started to make my way over towards him when I got a nice 11-46/12-47 at 7" up against a tree root. Out from the hole came this very nice 1853 LC. Come to find out that was about the same time that G4E pulled his 1837 LC on the opposite side of the yard. He mentioned that he had found a couple of nice flat buttons and pointed the area out to me and I was able to pull one as well.

We moved on to another place then and he came up with a really nice ring and Merc. I couldn't complain about the day or the hunt. We had twin flat buttons and both of us had our first LC of the year. It looks like from the backmark on the buttons that they date to between 1834 to 1843. Congrats to him on his finds and I had a great time.

Couldn't really do video at the farm so I just did a quick clip of our finds later. Video is a little shaky but I had worked all night and was wired on energy drinks.lol
