Completely new country today....few good signals. Those flat buttons always get me. I think I'm getting into some old country with a few of these finds.

You are on some old ground based on the axe, buttons, spigot, and shoe buckle frame piece.
 

Definitely a broken shoe buckle frame. You’re in the right neighborhood for sure

Just a little clarification on the shoe buckle frame. That hole would have held one side of the hinge pin that had the tongue/chape assembly that looked like this. You prob already know all this judging by your finds.
