So I found this nice uniface flake yesterday...great purple blue color....I noticed the serrated edge work and then the worked corner with the....is that a side notch..wait...is that a...do you see it? Does anyone else see it? Is this flake a mid production small point?? I know it’s probably a stretch, but I swear they were making a small point out of this. Or not. Thoughts? The edge or side that’s been done is serrated, just can’t seem to capture a good focused pic. Anyhow. Thanks for the look

As far as I know the notches are the last to be formed... that’s how I do it atleast

I don't see it as a "mid production small point". I envision it possibly as a flake scraper of sorts.

Nice material.
It is Highly unlikely that the first step of manufacture would be a side notch. The Preform (the un-notched, unfinished state) of the point you are comparing it to, would have been Triangular.

Looks like he had a stack on the preform and had a to change angles to shoot it off. Just a reduction flake.

Hey. I’ll be 50 years old in a few days, at least I still have a very active imagination! Right. Thanks for the insight. Happy Moms day out there
