I found these at different times in different parts of the Atlantic. I think some may be old but would like your thoughts. Some are probably older than others.

There are five spoon shown in the front and back pictures below. Some are silver plated, but none are pure silver and only one (the blacker one) is attracted to a magnet. I think there may be some pewter ones, but don't know how to tell that. Have a look and let me hear if you have any thoughts on any of them.

I think the picture shows them pretty well and you can read them from the pictures as well as I can read them. But the next to the bottom one maybe not. IT seems to me to read "Rogers" followed by a few unknown characters ending in "AI."

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas on age or other information.

Let me count them. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6. You're correct. There are 6. ;D

The fifth one is completely corroded away.

the corroded one looks like Wm. Rogers is on it...That is a common manufacturer...I have found quite a few of them. Not sure on age but possibly late 1800's to early 1900's. Looks like most if not all have a marking on the back handle. Google search should help.

Unless it says .419 or sterling somewhere they are plated. They look plated or were at one time.Monty

:D :D Let me verify this......hang on a second, I have to take my shoes off. :o ::)
Seriously though, I've found a few Rogers backmark spoons from the mid 1800's. Not too sure of the overall time frame of Rogers silverware though.

Can you read the backs of the spoon handles?

For the most part, I can read them from the pictures as well as from the spoon.

About the top spoon: Racebrook seems to be an older trademark of International Silver Company (Insilco) for their silverplate.

Thanks for all the information, web sites and ideas guys. That helps me a lot.

The bottom spoon looks like Wm. A. Rogers Rosalie pattern 1938.
