I have figured that in mid August, after paying off some credit cards and other various debts, I can afford to buy my new machine. (I know, I will miss the best time to hit the beaches).

I have narrowed my choices down to these two detectors. I have to be honest, I like the F75's speed, as I have seen the Explorer SE at work (super slow). But I don't want to sacrifice depth for speed (I get antsy when I don't find anything, then I move to a new spot)... I think they are both awesome machines. What do you all think???

I was also thinking of the Garrett 2500, but I don't know.

ya don't have to in the water to do the beach, remember chicago ron got is near shore, can't tell ya about machines though, try going to 'HEAD TO HEAD COMPARISONS"

I am, but I wanted to see what you all had to say.

Good luck on your choice!

I would like the F75 because I'm a Fisher user by habit, and it's lighter with less battery weight. I know of many old timers who have used the SE to great success in hunted out sites. Both machines have the distinct advantage of a DD coil. This gives it a great edge in any ground with junk over the conventional eliptical or concentric coils. The larger your conventional coil, the less likely you are to distinguish between good targets and junk.

Can't wait until the Kitchen Funding Committee okays my next machine.
