On the F2....F4...and..F75 are they silent search? Or do they have a threshold? ==Jim==

I don't lnow about the 2 or 4 but the 75 is SS in Disc and threshold in all metal. It is also a super detector

I don't think there is a advantage....My self i don't like silent search..... I like that threshold noise buzz hum what ever you want to call it . I only have 1 detector with out threshold and that is the Ace 250 so i don't use it that much.I would hate to buy a F2 or F4 and it is silent search I guess i will have to call a dealer to find out.............................................==Jim==

The f-4 has a threshold in autotune mode and in pinpoint mode which are all metal no motion mode. I do not know about the F-2, my distributor is waiting for more from Garrett.

I'm leaning toward the machine. I had thought about the F2 but while its gotten some good reviews, there has been some unhappy campers who bought the machine as well. The F4 sounds much better
but the x-70 sounds even better. I have not seen many negative reports on either the F4 or the x-70.
Whatever machine I decide on, it will be the last machine I purchase. I have an MXT and An Ace 250 now.

Does the x-70 come with good DVD instruction ?
