Fish pics ( everybody )

There are certain fish that you just always are hoping to catch. For me it's the black grouper !! Every time I bottom fish I'm hoping to catch one. I once went out for 5 days fishing for them and came back in with the boat almost sunk and all the bilge pumps running to keep her afloat. I went into the fish hold and started throwing fish up on deck. 8 hours later we were done unloading over 13,000 pounds of black groupers !! It was the most money I ever made in 5 days and people who saw us unload still talk about that catch. So the season to catch them closes on jan 1....and it never fails that I start to catch them as soon as its closed. IMG_0272.jpg
Here is capt. Brown with a small one we caught the other day. I had to slide the gaff carefully in the skin so I didnt kill him. After venting his air bladder and distended stomach he was safely released.

Those rolly polly fish heads....cant believe I never saw that one before.

Here I sit waiting for this,my friend and fishing partner Mike with a 35 pounder, gonna be some action this year, fine tuned chumming and bait.

There are record carp in the Connecticut River (if I threw a rock hard enough from here I'd make a splash)and I AM going to land one, biggest one I believe landed was 47 pounds so far.

What a fighting fish,I'd just as soon catch nothing else.

Although I do fish in the winter, the ice on my favorite lake did not get thick enough for me this winter (so far).

I have been remiss in updates on WWH. Well in a nutshell, it’s under new management. The door was left open for the founder to remain a Trustee, but he declined. So now there’s multiple Trustees who are not related (8-10 I believe with room for more) where as before there were only 4 and 3 were husband, wife, and son. That went against the regs for a 501(3)c. To be honest, it’s what enabled the questionable transactions that came to light last year. Wrongs were corrected and an audit was conducted to make sure all the i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed. New chapter and we are excited to have our spring event this June. Mr WD is a trustee, so I have not attended the meetings the past few months. I’m retaining the position of photography and food staff volunteer. I know one of the changes they made was to downsize the number of participants from Ohio and Kentucky. Then I heard rumors of some Iowa vets being invited. I’ll have to let you know after the event because I’m not sure. But we are still reaching out to our veterans and that is what counts.

It's all gonna work out fine WD!! I can feel it.

Good... caught a good one today !!
