Ya it is a carp,some go 20#+.I really enjoyed talking to Mike..He thinks a lot like I do.

Wow.......thats a nice one for sure. Did you guys eat that one or let him go ?? I havnt had catfish in so long. After looking at that picture im having an urge to have some fried cat fish fingers. We have a popular little diner in our neighborhood called the hide out. They have catfish fry every friday......hope I dont have to wait a week. Seems to be the only place that serves it down here. Everyone eats snapper and mahi down here. Give your son a congrats for me, thats a nice one.

LOL! We have a reputation in our community too. My daughter has a customer that brings catalpa worms when he goes to her shop for a hair cut.

Went on my annual Salmon fishing trip here in one of our Michigan rivers last week and we had a ball. We fished in a section of river that's designated as "catch and release only" so every fish was returned to do their spawning thing.

I'll try and post a short video of a fish I landed...

I have to show this video of the start of a 15 minute battle to land a salmon that's probably over 25#. One of my fishing buddies tries to net it, and almost falls backwards into the deep water.



Here's the fish just before I released it...



Two of the guys in our group were further downstream and saw a silver fox. I have never seen one before and understand they are rare. Never know what you will run into in Michigan!
