I tried my hand at water hunting today at an old swimming hole that I use to play in as a kid . I thought water hunting would be a little easier . I guess that's why I don't get paid to think !! The bottom was like digging concrete . This place was an old "low water bridge " where many people would drive there cars in and wash them in the summer . I was hoping for some silver coins . I only found 40 cents in clad but I did find my first gold ring !! The mark inside say blue fire 14 k!!

Awesome score on your first water hunt! Yes it's a whole different ball game in the water. I found I enjoy snorkeling and fanning in waist to chest deep water more than trying to dig with a scoop. Especially when the temps are in the 90's

Congrats on your first gold ring - clad coins & other trinkets finds - fresh water detecting sounds great right about now cause we are in heat advisory here - anyway thanks for sharing your pictures and story & i wish you many more great finds while out treasure hunting.

Congratulations on your first gold! You know there has to be more in that hole, and now that you know what the bottom is like you'll have a plan for your next hunt. I've had my pro for about 15 months, and am still trying to find the right location for a water hunt. Rivers and creeks in central Oklahoma are typically muddy, so scooping would be about the only way. Good luck and keep us posted!

Congrats on your First Golden Ticket! :occasion14:

I have a few more days left on my vacation so I'm definitely going back to try again hopefully I will have more pictures to post .

Nice find! I'm just waiting for the temps to get a little higher before I start hitting the creeks!

Congratulations on the gold ring!

Congrats on a first of hopefully many. Nice score.

Comgrats on your first water hunt and finding your first gold ring!
