Hey guys,

Well, I broke down and went to walmart and picked up a pioneer 202. I was going to get the ace 250, but I couldn't wait for one to be shipped. So, I took a trip to the local beach and,,,, learned how to use it. Consistently picked up various metal objects at or below 12 inches in the sand. I am pretty pleased with its performance. Although, I didn't find any clad or gold, etc. I was out for about 5 hours. MAN, what a work out on my legs. I found a lot of can materials, a metal wire of sorts, some fishing stuff, (hook), a one ounce weight, and an old bottle cap. I guess thats better than nothing? Was nice to be out in the ocean breeze, was really nice. Had a warm western wind blowing in from the gulf stream I guess. Lots of stars, and lots of shooting stars, about 4 I can think of. Then I saw the beach patrol. HA HA, JK.

RRR!

THE END

Are the WalMart MD's any good? Now that I am getting interested in this again, and can finally afford to get a MD, I am starting to look into them. Since I am just starting out, I don't want to get a top dollar machine. But I also don't want to waste my money on a piece of junk.

Did the same thing when I switched from a Thompson Center Hawken to an inline muzzleloader. I decided to go with a cheap CVA inline from WalMart. I had 50/50 feedback on it before I bought it. Spent a day at the range finding the load it liked, and now I can put 3 shots into a circle the size of a silver dollar at 100 yards with it. Not bad at all for a gun that cost me $99.96 out the door. Now that I know I like them, I am looking to upgrade to a better gun, but with the performance of this gun, I am in no hurry. Looking into the new break open designs.

Hello, my wife bought me a Pioneer EX from Walmart on Fathers Day. It works well and goes pretty deep on coins....probably 6-7 inches is the deepest penny I dug with it, however it doesn't have a pinpoint mode and only 4 target ID's so I would definitely go with the Pioneer 202 or 505 but I think you wouldn't be disappointed with either of those models, hope this helps!!
