I've been looking for my first of these elusive little beauties and just nabbed one on my first hunt this season. I hope that portends some success for the rest of the year! Thought it might be a twopence tree coin for a sec when I saw how small it was and silver. I'll take it.
Forgot the pinpointer and spent at least 5 minutes searching for it in the last bit of daylight. I almost gave up to be honest. It was snowing and I was ready to quit... Beautiful old silver.
Congrats on a great find....

Fun Find !
I found the same under the back seat of a 40s Dodge about 40 years ago ..... congrats!

That is hilarious! So now I ask - what was going on in the back seat of that Dodge for something to fall under the seat? [emoji12]

Sweet!! I just saw one of those dug last week and it wasn't mine, one day.
Congrats!!

Rewarded for your tenacity. Well done. Elusive is the word for that little bloke. Yours looks to be in marvelous condition. I was fortunate enough to get mine only trime working a curb construction sight where it was disturbed and brought right to the surface. I think they register like pull tabs or punch tabs. I suppose many get overlooked for trash targets anyways. Gotta' dig ALL them beeps to get these rare finds. Great recovery mate. Peace.

How many shards of aluminum can slaw pull tabs, etc. are you willing to dig to recover your first trime? LOL ! Sorry, that just popped into my head : ) Actually some truth in the statement though.

Awesome find - such a cool, tiny coin. I found my one and only Trime about a year and a half ago, and I was amazed my detector could pick up that tiny thing 8" down thru roots and dirt. Congrats on a nice hunt!

Congrats. Trimes and half dimes are some of my favorite digs. Gotta pretty much dig it all to find them
