Today I got out and detected for the first time in about ten years. Not much as my back started hurting, but I thought I would post anyway.
A pair of broken sunglasses, a 1995 quarter and couple of pennies.

The area where I've started, and will go back to, is next to the Denver Rio Grande railroad. The line is still active but rarely used. And is still the same route as during the 1800's. This particular portion is next to a small park in my neighborhood. So we'll see how it goes in the future.

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I swung the coil for about 2 hours yesterday morning and my back has been hurting all day. I also just recently got back into the hobby after 20 years.

I think it was John Cougar who said.. "Hurts so good"

Sorry to all I don't know how to attach videos yet..but I wanted to😁

Yep. I'm fairly active other wise. But detecting uses different muscles and my back is always questionable.

Sounds like you are in the right area.... I'm using a narrow shovel which saves my back and shoulder...look forward to seeing your future finds!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone!
