You may be better off purchasing dimes or nickels instead of quarters. Traditionally quarters are real lousy for silver hunting.
 

Cool, thanks for the tip Wayne! :D On the nickels are you basically looking for the war nickels for the silver or just old nickels in general?

I have not heard of anyone here finding any yet. They are harder to find than the illusive 1970

save all nickels 1959 and older. that is what many people are saving around here.
 

Most folks save pre 1960, I myself save 1955 and prior, as 1955 is the last pre 1960 year you find coins with the S mintmark. Time to time you will find a buffalo nickel. I have found 3 this year so far, a 1916 in VF, 1937 in F and 1 no date.
