Detector(s) used
Garrett Master Hunter CX Plus, Minelab E-trac, Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Went back to my friends 1950's (or 30's) house. Tried all metal mode and hit the 1951 Quarter quickly. The house is brick and the roof singles, but there is a bunch of small tin or Al triangles all over the yard. Maybe gutter installation on site?

Finally gave up and went Disc. Still, found two more wheats and some clad. Plus these lead weights tied with string and some usual junk.

Total for 4 hours on two days

Clad 5 pennies, 2 dimes
4 wheats ( 1926, 1927, 1940, 1946)
1 Quarter (1951)

I think the lead are window sash weights.

Agreed, I've taken them out of old houses. The act as counterbalances for vertical windows to make them easier to open.

I would have said the same thing although I believe they are too small. The ones we removed from a REAL old house were like the size of 1/2 a baseball bat and 15-20 pounds. Hummmmmmmmmm ???
