First silver quarter

Super stoked about my first silver! Searched this area of my yard numerous times but pulled this out with other things. This ole yard of mine is turning out to be pretty full. I don't know if I'm getting better or the machine is breaking in or because the ground is wet but I feel like it's different now. I'm finding more and more stuff every time.

This axe head I found a month or so ago had square head nails in it so that tells me it's old. Thanks for looking

Congrats and I agree with your approach to hunt your yard while mastering your new machine. And the finds are more special coming from your own yard. Do you know the location of the old clothesline? I'd hit that spot hard.

I do not know the location of the old clothes line but it makes sense to look there. The spot I found this one was at the old driveway I think. And yes mackaydon I did do a happy dance lol and thanks not even close to my birth year. I was just as happy when I found that wheat penny! !

Congrats on your first silver Quarter. You will usually do better in damp or wet soil, as water is a conductor of electricity. This allows your detector to pick up deeper signals, or signals of smaller items that you may have missed had it been dry soil. Keep at it !

This one was only 2 or 3 inches deep. Maybe I just haven't gotten my coil over it till now but either way, it belongs to me now lol
