Super stoked about my first silver! Searched this area of my yard numerous times but pulled this out with other things. This ole yard of mine is turning out to be pretty full. I don't know if I'm getting better or the machine is breaking in or because the ground is wet but I feel like it's different now. I'm finding more and more stuff every time.

This axe head I found a month or so ago had square head nails in it so that tells me it's old. Thanks for looking

Im gonna say...All of the above ..Great Score on the Quarter. I would keep pounding that yard until you run out of signals, the more junk you move, the better things will read.

Best of luck! Im sure that Quarter isn't alone in your yard

I find my detector works better when the ground is wet also.Nice silver quarter I'll bet there are more silver coins you just need to remove all the iron to find them.

Moist soil is a good thing when metal detecting. Grats on the silver. Keep it up as I agree, there's more.

Congratualtions on the first silver Quarter! :occasion14:

Thank y'all. I know I read it before about the wet ground. Yes, I'm digging lots of junk, everything actually well almost everything. There are so many signals that sound bad it's hard to go a step or two without getting some kind of beep. I have been thinking of ordering the 5x8 coil for picking out between the junk but if I'm digging everything why bother right? I searching so hard for more silver, can't wait to find that cach lol. Still new at this too but I feel like I'm getting better at trying to guess the target before I dig it and moving slower and starting to grid search.

Way ta go. Great finds.:icon_thumright:

I would HIGHLY recommend you get that 5x8. It showed a huge difference when I did it and I never put the stick one back on. It super helpful in iron filled areas.

The AT Gold came with the 5x8 I bought the sniper coil for real trashy areas.

That's a momento put it in a nice case Research some old parks camps ect plenty more out there for you.Well done..

Here's hoping that it's the first of many! 🙌

Thanks for the positive support. I'm honestly probably gonna wait on another coil. I want to learn this machine better before I start changing things on it. I'm sure there are more out there, I have a big yard and I can hunt it anytime I want lol. There's a lot of history in my town too so no shortage of that, it's just getting permissions and finding time.
