So since it was warmer today I decided to go out and see if I could find anything, stopped at this house that I thought was abandoned searched for a while found some clad and then this crazy looking guy came outside and asked me if I knew that this is private property.. I told him I thought the place was abandoned and that I was sorry for being on the property, he said it was fine that he was just remodeling the place anyways and granted me permission to search the property :-) ended up finding about $5 in clad 2 old locks " 1 being a B & O railroad company lock" and found my first silver quarter a 1929 s Standing Liberty... I was extra excited! And he told me he had another place I could cheak... this was my first residential hunt :-)

Congrats on your first SLQ! Nice locks too! Now you have private prop to hunt WTG! HH!

Great finds - The guy would of kicked me out though, cause I'm not as pretty as you! :laughing7:

Congrats on your first SLQ young lady. :hello2: Nice 1800's lock there too. I wouldn't give up on that first place without hitting it few more times at least. I like to grid small areas off myself so I am sure I covered it well. Great finds.

Great Job. I'm with SusanMN and QBALL. No silver quarters whatsoever. A dozen Silver Dimes and even an 1864 Seated Half, but not a single Silver quarter in two years. Hoping to change that this weekend. :-)

Big Congrats on your beautiful SLQ! :hello2: :wav: :hello2: Hoping to dig one someday as I especially love the free-flying eagle, unlike the stylized eagles on many coins and buttons. Do get permission next time both as respect to owners of abandoned property and also because you could be cited by police for trespass. Had to laugh when you mentioned the "crazy looking guy" because lots of people think WE detecting guys & gals are the "crazy looking ones" with our detectors, apparatus, and the gaze from our eyes often being either way dreamy or fanatically focused! :tongue3: HAVE FUN! Andi

that turned out real well for you, a nice liberty and another property to hunt.....yup that was a good day:icon_thumright:

Nice going, BHG. That's one still on my list.

Thanks guys I thought I would never find one :-)
