Hey guys, we went out to the Iceberg the other day for our first 08 hunt, not expecting a whole lot. I decided to try an area that Dan had had some luck in earlier, but the area hadnt been covered much at all due to very thick growth. Figured I'd take advantage of the receding growth being winter and all...so I wandered around, trying to lean against branches to make room for me and the detector that was I was attempting to swing when I got this sweet signal...oh sure, a half dollar, right. But so I dig, and couldn't believe when I actually saw the reeded edge of the 43 walker. So then we hit the wheatfield and wandered around some more, and I ended up with a 64 dime. Pretty nice unnexpected luck.

Wonderful coin there Nathaniel.

I'm not surprised at all that that spot coughed up that slab. Of all the hunts we've done at the Berg that spot probably had some of the highest traffic and is now covered in the densest undergrowth. Last time we were there I got a merc in the same immediate area right before we left.

Heck of a way to start off the new year. It's been a long time since we sent Marc links to Iceberg finds so they could be added to the Best-Of thread on the Berg. Maybe you could take the initiative? (I'm lazy)
