I realize not a big deal to most, but found my first 2 old coins yesterday. Bought my detector about a month ago and have found quite a bit of "stuff" but no coins (other than new ones) and bang - 2 coins in one day. Found a 1920 wheat penny in mom and dads yard...then found the 1902 dime on some other property we own. So, had to brag to someone who appreciates it! hahaha

Great forum, I've enjoyed it so far

nice job. nice coin for your first silver

Congrats!!! Finding silver that quick is good!!

Took me 7 months before I found my first silver dime (1911).

NOT A BIG DEAL. That dime looks great. Any time I find a Barber it takes a week to wipe the smile from my face.

Great finds, the first old coin i found was a 1920 wheat penny also!!! :)

Welcome
The coins will come with more time out and a little research. The barber is sweet!

Congrats!!! I recently found my first silver as well - a 1936 Merc - nothing can describe that feeling you have when you see that silver looking back at you - hopefully this is the first of many for you!!!

Congrats on the first silver! What a fantastic first piece as well. The dime is in excellent condition! WTG

wow, those are very nice,, especially the barber ,, :D ;D :D ;D,, i would hit that place many times more ,

It's still a big deal to me when I find any silver (doesn't happen often), but a Barber would be really special, as I haven't found one yet. So that is quite a find, especially since you're relatively new to detecting. Congratulations! Wheats aren't too bad to find, either!

Howdy stranger. Hang your hat and stay a while.I'm glad you enjoy the forum because I sure do enjoy seeing that beautiful 1902 Barber. Congrats on your first two old coin finds. HH!

Nice find..
My goal this year is to find my first BARBER.... H H
