Also a weird ring that has no markings. Does not stick to a magnet so I'm guessimg its a certain type of stainless.

Congradulations RCB187. Great find that is the best looking silver dime I have seen! Why you ask? Because that's the year I was born 1961, great year! lol welcome to world of metal detecting and finding silver coins. there are a lot of them waiting for you to save them. Take some time to research older locations to increase your odds. learn to listen for very faint targets. because they may be deeper. with the detector your using you will probably do better than others before you that was limited with older technology, except for the old timers that new their machine inside and out and could even tell you what the date is on the coin before they dig it. Yes there are those detector gods out there, and most have and are still here on this forum. Ask them a question and most would be glad to share their knowledge and help you. I have and not only learned a great deal in the short time I have been on this forum, but have made some great friends. That's the greatest treasure you will ever find anywhere detector or otherwise. Happy Hunting my friend, remember you cant find it, unless you look.

The silver bug has officially bitten you.....now you are off and running. Nice going:thumbsup:

Congratulations on your first, and Many More!:icon_thumright:

thanks guys! ive been bitten, its all over now! lol seems like it took awhile to get the first silver! haha

Listen for faint targets and especially ones that you can hear but don't register on the VDI.

Put it in a nice coin holder and be prepared more many more great finds. Congrats

Congratulations on the first silver dime. More will follow, just keep swingin. The ring does look like stainless from the picture. I have a few stainless rings that are unmarked as well. I’m sure silver and gold rings are also in your future. I know because my crystal ball told me so.:laughing7:
