Finally, I can scratch this off my wish list.
Up till now, the only seated coins I've found were dimes.
I came close last year, with 1892, 93, and 94 Barber Quarters, but still no Seated Quarters till now.
I got out yesterday and today for about 2 hours each day.
I found the Quarter (1877-S), and the no-date buff today. The Quarter was VERY deep, about 10 inches.
When I first saw it at the bottom of the hole, I thought it was an SLQ, till I got a good look.
I found the 37 Merc, the 37 Buffalo, and an EXTREMELY damaged 1866 Injun yesterday.
The Merc was very deep too. At least 8 inches.
The Injun and Buffs sounded like total crap, but it's an old site, so I figure it's worth it to dig anything that's mid-tone or better, and repeatable, especially if it's deep.
Anyway, the Quarter's pretty worn, especially the back.
But it made my day.
Thanks for looking.
