First RING! And......today's find brought to you by the letter "A"
Hit the beach with Max and the Guru today.
Just like Sesame Street...today's find is brought to you by the letter "A"......which stands for ALUMINUM!
Man, there was alot of it today! Was digging all kinds of angled pieces and of course the slag and occasional pull tab. The A is lead and very malleable. Pulled some fishing weights and some old copper pieces and a bit of clad.
Stayed mostly in the damp as the tide was a bit low and did some hunting in the rocks. Gotta say, the Stealthscoop 720i that I have may be heavy for hunting out of the water but that heavy duty point on it really can get down between the rocks with some leverage and wiggling around! Kudos to the designer for its rugged construction....the ash handle that came with it works great too.....has a bit of flex to it but is STRONG!
Best find for me was the RING!
Almost soiled myself when I saw it laying on the sand! Was looking around for Max and Guru...or ANYONE to show it to! Of course the disappointment set in a bit when I picked it up and realized it was plated and in pretty rough shape. I actually dropped when I got home it and the top part separated from the bottom! Still...all in all a good day hunting and I got my first ring.....now I need my first gold or silver rings!
