Today my girlfriend Kelly and I were privileged to hook up with Wallhangers for a day of hunting. We hit a couple field home sites WH researched that date to the 1860's, possibly earlier. I first dug an old button that WH believes is Civil War era. Could any of you button people please help I.D.? The back reads Scoville Watterly.(?) Heading back to the car for a lunch break I hit a solid signal and was thrilled to dig at roughly 6" my first Large Cent, an 1829! This is now my oldest coin to date. WH found another fatty IHP and Kelly found an old flat button. Research does pay off! Beautiful MI spring weather and MDing with friends made for an excellent day of hunting.

Thanks all for looking and being my inspiration. :icon_sunny:
