Went hunting most of the day today. I hunted an old church and a couple of old farm houses. Ended up with mostly alot of junk and by junk I mean pop tops, shell casings, canning jar lids, etc..etc. I cant believe how much junk there is around those old farm houses. I did happen to get a couple of wheat pennies and I also got a first today, an 1892 Indian Head cent which is in real nice shape. Thanks for taking a look.

WOW!!! You sure won't pull one out of Southern soil that nice!!  MAYBE if you found one really close to a house.... But I never have!! Great Job!!
Great hunting and good luck!! Regards, Skypilot
Thanks for all the comments... and yes skypilot for whatever reason the soil up has been very kind to all of the old copper that I have dug up(wheatbacks and now my Indian Head). The soul down south must be alot more acidic or something and it reacts with the copper...JMO.

Lots of iron in the soil, and the electrolysis in it gets a lot of them. And then there is all the fertilizer that has been spread over a lot of the older sites for the last 100
years or so! We rarely find Liberty (V) nickles that are legible at all, the soil really gets those. Great hunting and good luck!!!! Regards, skypilot02
