So I took out my Whites XLT for the first time at a spot I thought I hit hard with my tesoro silver umax. The first thing I dug with this new detector was a 1939 Canadian penny. And it was smooth sailing after that digging up some more older Canadian cents and finishing it off with a 1911 wheatie. I also have two other things that look interesting but I don't know what they are. Also what would be the best way to clean the coins up?

nice fiends... Whites XLT you say .. nice MD... I see old silver in your future :occasion14:

Indeed sir, Whites xlt, I hope some silver :)

I find my relation with my xlt kind of like a marriage. She usually tells the truth, but because I have trust issues, I dig into everything and have caught her up in a few lies;) great machine. Just started using mixed mode. Now I have sniped a few silvers in a bed of iron.

Imho mixed mode is the XLT's best feature. I have been using mine scince About July of 2000 or 2001 and pulled a small custom gold ring from about 8 inches with a large nail above it at about 4 inches. And a merc next to the nail in a park in N.J. I heard faint but clear unbroken tones under an old tree and decided to cut a plug. Lucky yes, but the XLT is still a great tool. HH, Brother Al.

The XLT will produce silver just don't trust the VDI.

My whites mxt pro runs real deep. I would love to upgrade to another whites like yours but I really want to get out into the water.

I use the 9.5 inch stock coil.

Those copper nails are the bane of my coin hunting, lol.. Every time I think I have a wheatie I have a round or octagonal shaped copper nail! I use a XLT as well... Happy hunting !!
