Pulled my first ring with the X-Terra on my first ever hunt with it at a local playground. .925 stamp on the inside. Rang Crystal clear around the 50 range using a v8x coil.

Congratulations and welcome to treasurenet. That looks like a nice little ring. You might want to check the stones. From the picture they look small enough to be diamonds. I have found a fair number of silver jewelry pieces with small diamonds. Stay age, good luck and keep swingin.

you did EXTREMELY WELL congrats !!!

Well, I guess we have to pull it out of you, what is your first impressions of the Xterra Elite?

I bought this after becoming disillusioned with a whites V3i. The White's is probably "better" but its so advanced and i just don't have the time to be a power user with it. Along with the diminished support after Whites going out of business, i started looking at Minelab after a friend of mine got an equinox.

Decided that if i spent V3i/equinox level money on a 2nd machine my wife would kill me, i opted for the X-Terra elite and it was a breath of fresh air to take out and use. Turn it on, noise cancel, pick a program and run it. Great tone scale, reliable VDI, and the v8x coil was getting great depth. This ring rang clear as a bell and was about 4" deep. I also pulled several clad coins and even some pop tops and foil all from the 2"-6" range.

The big takeaway here is that its a powerful machine that is also user friendly and injected the fun back into swinging a detector, not fussing over a machine that was technically superior but just wasn't for me.

looking forward to many years of swinging this machine.
