Okay, I am brand new to the hobby and while I am sure most of you will laugh at my ridiculous finds, this was my first hunt and they were exciting to me! Problem is, other than the jar, Penny and misc nails, not sure what this other junk is. I bought a Garrett AT pro, took it out of the box, powered on and started hunting. I own some property in SC and all of this stuff was found in a 1/4 acre spot that just stuck out because of how some rocks were situated. It's a 100 acre tract, that locals say has some history in the area. Anyway, would love some suggestions, tips and if you know what you are doing and live in the SC area, let's go hunt.
BTW, upon research of the jar, it says "Cheseborough MFG, New York". The owner of the company invented Vaseline. This particular jar was late 1800's to early 1900's. Found the jar and the Indian Head with in 10 yards of each other. The Garrett was going off constantly but because I am new, everything sounded the same. Using this rainy day to try and understand what I am doing so the next hunt is more productive.
