Found my first gold ring of the year today. I was at the Gen. John A. Logan Museum when a woman came in crying and asking director if he had a metal detector her husband could use to find her wedding ring. She was going to see her daughter so she could not stay around to watch me search. Her husband was there. I searched for a total of ten minutes when I got a low tone and there it was laying under some clover. He could not believe it. He just threw me a $20 bill and ran to call his wife. I gave him my business card before I left.

sweet! glad you were able to help! too bad you didnt get a pic of you giving it back....that would have been cool!

Hay at least you got 20$ for finding it. Thats 20$ for only 10 min of work, so if you had found 6 rings at 10 min a piece for $20, OMG.... THAT WOULD MEAN $120 A HOUR!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o wow.... Hay you said you handed the guy a business card is that how you make money finding rings and stuff. Peace...

That's too cool. I'm gonna place some free ads soon offering my lost valuables assistance. Hopefully it will get me some more great places to detect and also help a few people out.

My card is actually a asking for permission the detect your property card. It does have owner recovery listed on it.
This helps pay for gas at these high prices. I was asked 2 days ago to help search for a bag of jewelry that was lost in a pond last year in 2 feet of water. He said he would get back to me soon.

wow i hope when i get a detector i can do stuff like that but, a bag if jewelry was lost sounds like a robbery to me lol.

Jewelry was bagged up while they were it a boat and it fell overboard. Just a gold watch, some rings, necklace and a wallet.

I hope it's not a robbery or the owner is in big trouble. His is a State Police Officer. I believe the wallet will tell me
the truth.

lol...then you better watch out to....if hes a state police officer i bet he would kill you if you found out his secret....OH-NO all im saying is you cant always believe what they say a bag of jewelery just sound suspicious. GOOD LUCK
