I went back to a park yesterday that I have gone to twice before. I always turned up a lot of clad (mostly pennies) but I had hopes. I started a new section and as soon as I put my coil down it rang pull tap. I dug it and it was. Started to swing again 1 foot away and hit pull tab again and it was. I moved around two feet and started again and immediately hit pull tab again. I almost did not dig it, but it sounded just a little different so I did. The diamond is marquis cut 9 mm x 5 mm. The band is 18k.

Man, ALL I ever get is tabs,I keep lookin though, some day I'll find one!!! Bet your heart rate went up a bit on that one!!!!!! God Bless Chris

Nice!! Congratulations!!

There's nothing quite like the feeling the first time you get gold. Especially when it's gold with a big fat diamond in it! Congratulations on such an awesome find!

excellent find! a stone with those measurements should fall between 3/4 to 1 carat

wow, that's a very nice ring - congrats!

Incredible ring. As I always say if You're not digging pulltabs you're not finding gold.

I keep digging those pull tabs, but haven't found a ring yet. Well, not a good one anyhow, found a couple of plated rings though. Thought for sure I had one the other day, about 6 inches down in hard dirt, kept digging, it was still in the hole, kept digging, finally got to the dang pull tab. Bummer. I was in just about the cleanest park in Oregon, which makes me think it's hit often and hard. In an hour or so, no coins, three or four pull tabs and a bit of foil. You have a great find.

Great find!! If your wife or girlfriend sees it, it "WILL" fit!!! And, man you really need to do something about your nails and skin!! LOL

Wish my tabs looked like that one. Just shows that you should dig every tab signal.
Happy hunting from the soon to be frozen north.

Great ring! WTG!
I almost missed a t 10k with diamonds and sapphires, cause a beer cap was canceling out the signal, could just barely catch "blip" of it.
DID miss a wedding set, with a giant Alexandrite in it, after one Ft LAud air show. Was new, and was getting trash foil sounds. When I came back around, the man whose wife lost it, had another detector there and paid him to recover it. Learnt a lesson that day! That could been my $200 reward for good deed done! LOL!

Yep, ya gnna dig some junk.......

Beautiful ring! An amazing find! I am learning about metal detecting and it seems it is best to dig almost every signal you get.
At least when there are finds like that you could miss. I've seen a lot of posts that say they got a pull tab signal & found a gold ring.

Did not tell girlfriend. She would want it. She thinks i am into this to find bling for her.

WOW ! Very nice ring , congrats !
Glen

Thanks went back to the same park today 3 1/2 hours 23 pull tabs, 4 bottle caps, two screws, 2 beer cans. 13 pennies and a dime. oh well theres always tomorrow.
