Texan in North Yorkshire, UK
Jst got in from my first hunt with the new Ace 250. Took my son along and we dug up a 3 pence from 1944. It was next to a pack horse bridge that dates from the mid-1700's. Also found an old rifle cartridge and some rusty nails.

The ground here is wet and chock full of rocks, so I have given up using the trowel and gone to a full sized shovel to dig. Very time consuming, but it's the only way to do it. To top it off, the house I'm in is a 400 year old barn conversion in the Yorkshire Dales, so there is lots of rusty deposits that read like a coin (at least to my cherry ears). Lots of fun, though.

Also, I'd like to plug the folks from whom I just purchased my 250.

It was a breeze buying it, with nice goodies and they shipped to an APO- no problems. I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new MD.

Johnny,
Way to go. From one Texan to another, I wish you well. Keep swinging that coil and show us your finds. By the way, we are still waiting for Winter to come to Texas this year. Ron

Ron,

My dad has been telling me the same. Itellyouwhat, I'd give just about anything to get back. Been gone for too long now. Do me a favor and post some photos of the bluebonnets in April.
