I think the top thing is a button. It depicts two ladies drinking something and has "NORTH CAROLINA" printed on the rim.

Not sure what the bottom thing is exactly.

Cheers!

Nice old stuff there Ridley. The bottom one might be a part of an old tube type radio or early tv. Sentinel was a brand name for both.

Yes, somebody found something similar recently and it turned out to be from an old radio, the BIG models that people used to gather around (before TV). Without dimensions it's hard to say for sure, but the two things are similar.

That's a great button. Wonder why it depicts two ladies drinking? Maybe from the WCTU????? Not likely. Nice finds.

silverswede got the Sentinel right. The logo matches up with another radio they manufactured. Maybe it comes from another product from that company entirely.

They made something called a Rad-O-Phone. An early intercome for home-o-ners. I can't find a picture of it though.

I usually don't hunt for relics. I was kind of hoping to find some old coins too. The entire farm is mysteriously devoid of them. Oh well ... ;)

Ridley, I think it would be from a floor model radio. The really big things that were treated like pieces of furniture. They usually had oak or mahogany cabinets and were quite the status symbol in their day. How times change.....
