Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I've been going to Cape Cod for over 10 years with my metal detector, mainly in parks and woods, but every once in a while I'll hit a beach. Never found anything except pocket change and pulltabs. Until last week that is. Went out at sunset and kicked aside an inch of sand upon hearing this screaming signal.

Not sure what kind of opal this is, looks like there are a lot of different kinds on Google. It is stamped both 925 and 14K (gem collar), plus a hallmark.

I know where I'll be spending my time on the next visit, that's for sure.

Thanks for looking,
Steve

Wow, Gold and Silver and Opal! What are the odds.
Awsome Find!

that's a great find. I'd be willing to bet it's a synthetic (lab created) opal. either way, they are a pretty stone

Can I ask why you think that? And what's the difference in value?
