First CW Hunt In A While

Due to my Mom's recent health issues, I've stayed close to home and haven't detected recently. This weekend however, I made arrangements and took off to one of my favorite Civil War sites. I didn't hit a home run but I had a blast. I found several bullets, a couple had been wormed, and a little CW iron.

Looks like you had a pretty productive hunt, well done.
In all the digging up of lead, I can't ever recall getting a wormed one.
Not a bucket lister-but it would be a cool recovery and a first.

Nice group of bullets and hope your Mom is doing better. Must be a pretty good site as the bullets get scooped out first!

I guess it’s case shot that was inside of the cannonballs. Fragments and the small shot were scattered all over the site when I first detected it….still producing but getting slower.

Be fun to clean that up with electroalysis if nothing elce soak in apple cider vinegar.
