I went to my local bank just to "try" coin hunting, I rolled up to the bank and took all their halves... 38.50 worth... It was funny because the lady said she never thought she'd get rid of them....lol.. I searched the first three rolls and nothing, then the second to last coin in the roll was a 1967 ;D I was stoked....also I got back a 1960 dime in my change today at the gas station ;) maybe its a sign..lol My neighbor works at the local bank and i went and talked to her and she says one old guy comes in every once in awhile looking for loose old coins and thats all she could think of, and she said she doesn't know of the tellers collecting either...so I know I'm new...but I dont think this will be my dump bank..oh and I got 2 wheaties out of my change drawer today also....the new hobby is fun!

First of all....welcome aboard Corey. 2nd, congrats on the silver. Your absolutely right about this hobby being fun.....it is a blast!! Silver is out there just to be had so get it while you can.

Keep posting those finds & if you can post a picture or two....please do.

Good luck on your next hunt.

actually, if none of the other tellers collect and you know the lady who works there maybe you could consider there the bank where you get all of your halves from? Maybe just give it a shot. In my experience some banks don't like ordering halves repeatedly. Just a suggestion though

You've got it made in the shade with lemonade. 8)
The silver is yours. Go for it.
