First big silver SLHD

Finally got permission to hunt a yard near my work. The fellow let me hunt with the understanding that we would split the good stuff. I started finding wheats everywhere. Then I got a signal that blew me eardrums out. Got the plug opened and there she was, my first half. Total digs was a 1943 SLHD, 1917 merc, 16 wheats, and a Firestone token.

Great job! I love that coin. I've dug up a few and I do a fist pump every time!

I hear ya. I was hooked the first silver quarter I found. Last year I got a half dime. That was probably the most exciting thing find I have made. Mainly because it tied the site back to the research I had done.
