Hello all,,,
I've been kinda busy lately and haven't had much time to post. I have been stopping by to read a few post before I leave, but that's about it... I snuck out yesterday, after it rained here for two days straight, and found my first Barber coin of the year. It's a 1906 dime and is in fairly good condition other than a few small scratches across the obverse. It was found at the park I call the " Indian Graveyard " at a depth of only 3" down. I'm not sure how much the ground conditions played a part in finding it, but I had been over this very spot a lot of different time before...
Good luck all, & happy hunting~

Nice looking Barber dime.
My first keeper for the year was an Indian head.
Havn't found silver yet.

Congrats Leon! Thanks one sweet Barber, in such beautiful condition, too! Many more to you, Leon! HH!

Leon, good deal on the barber dime. Sweet coin. My son found one this weekend at my mom's house. Conditions are very good right now. We also have been over this place many times. Found some other cool stuff I will post later.

Thanks a bunch!, all...
You know it's a real pleasure finding the oldies, but it wouldn't be half as much fun without being able to share it with some friends...

alwayslookin, I'm sure most of it has got to do with location, although I have received some great hunting tips from my cousin, "davedigs", who has been hunting for several years. We never did get together last summer. Maybe sometime after the weather start being a little more predictable, we can make some plans to get out and do some hunting.

Again,,, Thanks all...
Good luck, & happy hunting~

i really like your detecting site :) and about the crawspace. my house was build in 1906 now you got me wondering about my crawspace. :-\ my yard is so full of junk and I'm still trying to get use to my dfx. thanks for the neat site you have. its giving me ideals
