That almost looks like a hammered silver. Crusader? Is that you?....just kidding. I love that coin. I hope I can find one some day. That IH has a great patina. Nice looking coin. Thank you Earthworks for the pics and nice finds there Bergie. ;D

Thanks, Evolution. When I found it I thought it was hammered. Exactly.

Some great coins Bergie.
I take it that 3 cent is way smaller than a dime?
Congrats,
MM

A couple of great ones!

I found a little piece of play money today. Before I saw how thin it was, there was a second or two where I thought I had a trime. Way to go! Nice Indian, too, love the '60s and '70s.

Holly Crap!! You found a 3 cent Silver !! What did that ring in as on your detector. It looks like you hit it 100 times with your digger. ;D Thats awesome, I was just thinking how hard one of those whould be to find. Now that i think of it I have dug play dimes as small. Wow, WTG!!

Keep @ it and HH!!

Thanks, everyone. MUD -- it's weird, it sounded like a midrange tone (nickle/gold) not silver. That has happened before with a very worn/tiny Merc dime that should have sounded silver but did not. I guess if there's a certain amount worn away it doesn't give the true sound. Anyway, it was found at only an inch and a half or two. You could imagine without much weight it's harder for that coin to sink. It was found in an area with lots of small pebbles and dirt, so it's clear it was stepped on for a long time on the pebbles and got all messed up that way before sinking under ground.

Fantastic finds, Bergie! I think I'll put that three center on the top of my list to find now that the Barber is out of the way! ;D (I may have to adjust my wishes before the year's out though.) :P :D

Many congrats! Thanks for the pictures EW! :)

Bergie, what kind of detector? Just wondering, don't see too many trimes on Tnet. Thats a coin on my "list of coins" to find. Nice finds by the way

Thanks all. Illinois doug, believe or not, I use a radio shack which is a bounty hunter. I've done really well with it, but I find the key is researching the good sites.

wow very nice finds Bergie, keep up the good work ;)
