First 2 Hunts of 2016 - 2 Silvers Roman & Medieval !

We returned to the Roman Lion Field on the 01st Jan to start our second grid over this site from the opposite direct. We did 3 hours 15 minutes & got 23 Roman Coins & I got a hammered!
Today we did 3 hours 45 minutes & I ended with a Roman Silver & 11 Roman Coins, Cru'Dad completely blanked, so shows what the Deus can do against the Cortes.
This is about the best start we could hope for, 7 hour hunt with;

34 Roman Bronze Coins (4 Album, including 1 silver washed)
Roman Miniature Votive Axe - Rare find but in poor condition
Hammered Farthing of Ed II?
Sept Sev Denarius circa AD200 - A silver version of the horse rider is an unusual reverse type for us, Galba was the only other 1 (last year) - Most of our horse riders are bronze.

Yes, thats my general style, I like to hear it all, thanks, I will try that. But does it change any of the tones/sounds iron makes? (As I've now learnt them pretty well)

The only thing iron vol on 0 does is makes all the tones clearer..

Thanks for all the above comments. This is very likely our last 'best post', as these 2 days covered the most productive part of the field. Plenty of land left, but the coin scatter is much less dense, so we are only expecting half that amount in the next 2 hunts.(If lucky)
