First 1800's coin of the year.

Have to catch up a little bit. Finally starting to get out regularly again. Feels good with warm temps. Finds are from a few different sites.

Last weekend even though the snow mostly melted the ground was frozen about 2-4” in most spots. Here are some casualties from my pickaxe. :P

Then, when the weather got warm I got the fever and did a lunchtime hunt. As you can see from the picture It’s not worth starting any “lunchtime hunt” thread. ::)

Did have some luck at my mom’s. We pull a lot of junk out of the place and occasionally are rewarded with a keeper. The V Nickel was not that deep(3-4”) and IDed as a classic nickel signal. I am happy with the coin even though it isn’t the prettiest looking thing. ;D Last year it took me until December to find my first V Nickel.

The back of that pendant could use a little cleaning before you can make out whats written on it. Looks like some writing across the back, with one or two circles with hallmarks?
