The Margarita is 6 miles west of Marquesas keys which are about 30 miles west of key west. It is scattered for more the 2 miles in around 22 feet of water.

Is that an earring or a knight/military insignia? There is a similar shaped cross that was recovered on the Girona, and it also looks like the cross on the cover of the clamshell locket found on the Atocha. There was red enamel glass in the field of the Girona one.
