Hey, I have some fire agate......it is ONLY found in a small part of AZ. Search for yourself..... google fire agates....though I am not sure if it is ok to post because I do sell it for $50 a pound raw uncut bulk.....or $15 a 1/4lb bag mixed large med and small....all plus shipping....I noticed that there were other people asking for pricing info....hope that this helps....I will post cut pictures soon.

No Cappy I do not take pay pal yet, sorry.....just us postal money orders or cash......PM me your info and I will send you a bag up front, once you get the fire agates send the money order or cash.....if you mail cash, the post office offers a singed receipt or delivery confirmation.....I have not encountered any problems as of yet......everybody on here seams to be on the up and up....and I am willing to take a chance.....and if I get burned well shame on me.

I tumbled my agates for about three weeks..then today I made them smaller and put them back into the first (rough) stage of tumbling, again. I decided I wanted smaller stones that I might place in silver settings some day. I am presently collecting and hoarding quality rough and semi polished for later use.

Keep up with the photos!

Show us the fine specimens you've collected, please. Show me what 'good' fire agate looks like.

Perhaps you're judging based on the pictures, or did you order some from DanB? If it's based on the pictures that DanB is working with, did you think perhaps he sells the better stuff and works with the stuff left over?

Hey Budd, sorry to say but.. None of these are fire agates from what I can see on the pics.

Here is an example of a fire agate.. Before I cabbed it. :)
Not good quality by any means though.
